For the most part, all of my work is run on a personal server I run and maintain at home. It is an old dell workstation that I’ve upgraded as much as possible. The machine gives me an excellent chance to quickly stand up and play around with servers.
Sometimes you need the survivability afforded from offsite services. This site is hosted from an Ubuntu server instance running on Digital Ocean. My GitLab repos are backed up to storage also rented from Digital Ocean.
